Celebrating World Kindness Day
A perfect day! Dr. Dale Atkins (pictured), co-author of The Kindness Advantage, celebrates World Kindness Day.
What is World Kindness Day?
World Kindness Day is an international observance day that was established in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement. It’s goal is to promote kindness throughout the world. It is observed each year on November 13th.
Many countries celebrate World Kindness Day including the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Nigeria, and the U.A.E.
World Kindness Day gives us all the opportunity to reflect upon one of the most important and unifying human principles: kindness. It’s a day to focus on and acknowledge the good deeds performed in our communities and to recognize that kindness is a positive thread that can bind us together. Kindness does not divide; rather, it bridges the divides of race, religion, politics, and gender.
